Conor Walton

Conor Walton is Dublin trained and lives in the south of Ireland. Like Paul Reid it is the rich imagery of the conventional history of western art which provides his starting references. His work is more intellectually playful and symbolically laden than Reid’s and he is more comfortable to provide an explanation for his imagery. There is no didacticism however and the work remains foremost enigmatic and as much about the material of the paint as its content.
