Perpetua Pope

Some years ago we celebrated Perpetua Pope’s 90th birthday with an exhibition of 45 new oils and watercolours. The show was a remarkable and thoroughly deserved triumph, with all but one work finding a happy buyer. The result was testament to the quality of the work, certainly, but also spoke eloquently of the affection with which this artist is regarded.

Painting as well as ever, Perpetua has produced a superb new group of seascapes, landscapes and still life from some of her familiar territories ranging from East Lothian to Barra and Glenlyon to Islay.
