A selection of gallery artists exhibit new work for The Scottish Gallery's Christmas Exhibition.
Contemporary Silver
The Scottish Gallery gave Sidsel Dorph-Jensen her first solo show in 2005, shortly after she had graduated from the Royal College of Art, London. Since then we have been enchanted by the new work that she has produced; using traditional silversmithing techniques in an untraditional way, to create objects that show the malleable and organic nature of silver.
Lustre
Sutton Taylor uses colour and abstract depictions of the natural world to portray the drama of nature on the surface of his ceramic vessels. His vessel forms such as bowls and bottles carry the patterns of light and shade, waters and skies.
Stephanie Dees - New Paintings
This exhibition of new paintings by Stephanie Dees explores the architecture and landscapes of Italy and Scotland following her recent travels to the Amalfi Coast, the Isle of Lewis and returning home to Edinburgh.
